About the role: 

This position plays a key role in supporting the Pathology Commercial team with a variety of responsibilities including new client strategy, status reporting and analytics, contract management, and process improvements. You will frequently collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments including Sales, National Accounts, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Service, developing strong relationships and streamlined collaboration.


Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Create, maintain, and update agreements, document management programs, capital equipment contracts.
  • Negotiate contract terms with internal and external business partners
  • Ensure that all contracts, including pathology services agreements, are accurate and up to date.
  • Track and monitor existing agreements, provide reporting to field sales organization, provide business reviews or relevant documentation to customers when required.
  • Act as the primary contact point within the pathology business for all pricing issues. Answer questions; aid field sales representatives regarding new and existing contracts.
  • Assist with end-to-end contracting operations processes, including generating contracts and amendments, coordinating reviews by Legal, and managing the implementation and maintenance of executed agreements and amendments.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance to ensure current legislative changes are reflected across agreements.
  • Create and monitors analytics including contract performance metrics, analysis & ad hoc reports as business needs dictate.
  • Work collaboratively with functional departments/team defining process improvements for the client and commercial experience.
  • Execute and document compliance with various internal policies and processes as required.
  • Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed.
  • Maintain contracts management, including organized storage and tracking system for physical and digital records
  • Identify and address commercial, technology, legal and operational issues on complex matters and seek advice from management and subject matter experts


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare, Law, or related field; In lieu of a degree, 6 or more years of relevant experience may suffice
  • Minimum 3 years of proven work experience as a Contract Coordinator, Contract Analyst, Contract Manager, or relevant role.
  • The ability to execute and document compliance with various internal policies and processes as required.
  • Knowledge of contract and business law required. 


Preferred qualifications: 

  • Master’s Degree preferred. Contract Management Certification or Paralegal certificate desired.
  • Ensure contract review, approval and execution in accordance with corporate guidelines. 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service.
  • Strong PC application skills, including MS Excel.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to problem solve and to understand the intricacies of legal contracts.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the urgency of requests and how to effectively prioritize them.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and above average writing and verbal communication skills to work with individuals and internal teams.
  • Able to effectively communicate contract principles and policy to internal business teams.
