About the role: 
The Senior Training and Development Specialist will manage site-level training system and compliance projects.


Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Manage and Implement key processes and projects; develops and drives project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan; keeps documentation organized.
  • Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and a project review board; project meeting minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
  • Conduct formal and informal learning needs assessments.
  • Identify/develop and evaluate learning solutions to address performance needs, with emphasis on a) meeting diversity and inclusion goals; and b) experiential learning strategies. 
  • Design and implement strategies for ongoing sustainability of initiatives.
  • Assist in the evaluation and optimization of training systems and procedures.  Identify and analyze training and development needs of the entire organization.  Cultivate strong business partnerships and interact within the organization.
  • Measure and continually improve effectiveness of training and development initiatives.  Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Engineering employees on the initiatives of training products and processes.
  • Provide direction and support for the Training Record System (TRS) while maintaining integrity of the system.
  • Ensure all training and tracking practices comply with the requirements of BSC Quality System and applicable local department practices.
  • Conduct vendor assessments - review externally developed programs and facilitator capability to meet learning needs; negotiate contracts with vendors; manage ongoing vendor relationships.
  • Facilitate learning sessions as needed.

What we're looking for in you:
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development or Business Administration 
  • 3+ years of Training and Development and Human Resources related work experience to include creating and delivering training materials and identifying/analyzing training and development data
  • Experience working within a regulatory or medical device industry


Preferred qualifications:

  • General knowledge in instructional design, employee development or various organizational development areas. 
  • Certifications on training techniques are a plus
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
