About the role:
Provide finance and accounting technical knowledge and execution to GBS and Financial Department in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance. This role will require performing automated activities based on Power Platform tools (Power Query, Power Automate) as well as searching for opportunities to automate current manual activities.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Provide accounting support to GBS and Financial Department in the maintenance of balance sheet accounts and prepare annual and monthly reports.
- Develop innovative initiatives to automate, simplify and streamline daily accounting activities.
- Fulfill with the system of internal controls in the financial area, as well as adequate compliance with international SOX requirements.
- Execute general ledger accounting records, journal entries (adjustments, reclassifications) and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Create and maintain DTPs/SOPs.
- Demonstrate proactive interest in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and in standardizing processes across different legal entities.
- Be involved in several projects simultaneously, including processes improvements, processes migrations, cross-training, systems testing.
- Work to deliver upon key performance metrics and service levels agreed with business partners.
- Support project work, ensuring that items from action plans are completed within established timelines.
- Any other accounting and/or department related activity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferably, Business Administration).
- 2 years’ relevant experience.
- English level: 80% or above.
- Microsoft Power Platform proficient knowledge: Power Query (intermediate – advanced), Power Automate (beginner – advanced).
- Microsoft Office proficient knowledge: Excel (intermediate - advanced).
- SAP experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in accounting process migrations is a plus.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Must have customer relationship skills with strong service orientation.
- Experience working in shared service environment.
- Holds self-accountable to a performance metric culture building performance excellence.
- Strong integrity.
- Respect for others.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
