Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Manager – Automation Support to lead and manage automation support, ensuring seamless integration, maintenance, and support of automation solutions across business processes. This role requires strong leadership, and hands-on experience with IT service management and collaboration tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Lead the Automation Support team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, operations, and business units to streamline support processes.
  • Ensure timely response to business queries related to automation solutions aligned with business needs.

Automation Support & Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day support of automation workflows, including incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Establish and enforce governance and best practices for automation lifecycle management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Process & Tools Management

  • Manage ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management tracking related to automation solutions.
  • Utilize Jira for IT ticket management.
  • Ensure proper documentation of automation processes, technical specifications, and user guides.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with business users to educate them and align with them for any issues and remediation.
  • Provide timely communication on incident resolution, project updates, and process changes.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to promote adoption and optimal use of automation technologies.

 

Expertise & Skills Required

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of automation platforms (e.g., RPA, scripting, workflow automation, or orchestration tools).
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow (ITSM modules) and Jira (Agile project management).
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices for IT service management is good to have.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and integration practices.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate support teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause resolution.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in IT support or automation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Certifications in ITIL, ServiceNow, or project management (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum) preferred.
