About the role:

Boston Scientific Information Technology is seeking detail-oriented Close & Consolidation Analyst to support global financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes within the IT Finance portfolio. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial close operations while supporting system stability, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

The Close & Consolidation Analyst will partner closely with Corporate Finance, Accounting, IT, and external auditors to support Oracle FCCS, Oracle EPCM, Enterprise Data Management / Data Integration, and related Cloud applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of accounting knowledge, technical EPM expertise, and audit readiness, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues during critical close cycles. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain Oracle EPM Cloud – Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS) to ensure stable and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. 
  • Design, build, monitor, and troubleshoot FCCS data integrations and pipelines, including inbound and outbound data flows. 
  • Manage and support data integration processes between FCCS, ERP systems, Oracle EPM Cloud applications and other applications and modules using: 
  • Oracle Data Management 
  • EPM Automate 
  • Integration pipelines 
  • Actively support month-end close activities, including resolving Actuals data issues, consolidation errors, metadata changes, and technical defects under tight timelines. 
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to analyze consolidation results, eliminations, FX translation, intercompany activity, and close status. 
  • Serve as a key point of contact for SOX audit support related to EPM Cloud: 
  • Respond to audit inquiries 
  • Provide system evidence and control documentation 
  • Interact directly with internal and external SOX auditors 
  • Ensure all system changes and configurations comply with internal controls, SOX requirements, and accounting standards. 
  • Support enhancements, upgrades, and patches across EPM Cloud environments, including testing and deployment coordination. 
  • Maintain clear and compliant documentation for system configurations, integrations, controls, and operational procedures. 
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and vendors to drive continuous improvement in close efficiency, automation, and data quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Licentiate degree in Computer Science or related
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Cloud (FCCS) and EPCM, or similar platforms such as OneStream, SAP, or Anaplan, including implementation and production support. 
  • Strong functional understanding of: 
  • Financial close and consolidation processes 
  • Statutory and management reporting 
  • Intercompany eliminations and FX translation 
  • Hands-on experience with: 
  • FCCS integrations and pipelines 
  • Oracle Data Management 
  • Month-end close issue troubleshooting 
  • Technical skills in: 
  • Requirements gathering and process modeling 
  • Data analysis and reconciliation 
  • Functional and technical solution design 
  • Strong understanding of governance, controls, and compliance, with demonstrated experience supporting SOX audits. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage Finance leadership and auditors. 
  • Ability to operate effectively during high-pressure close cycles and across global time zones.
