About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our Clinical IT team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in leading and developing high-performing technical teams within Clinical IT to deliver on technology enablement work supporting Clinical Study Trials. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the custom application development teams, study enablement and data ingestion technologies within the Clinical IT space. Your leadership will directly impact our business's ability to execute clinical trials effectively, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical devices to the market.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Team Leadership & Development

Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews.

Organize team-building activities to enhance cohesion.
Operational Oversight

Ensure GCO and Clinical technical resources execute effectively against product timelines.

Act as the first point of escalation for technology-related issues, including production support.

Support the Scrum Master in developing the Product Team Delivery Dashboard.
Collaboration & Communication
-
Identify opportunities for improved collaboration across Product Teams and Global IT services.

Communicate team achievements, challenges, and needs to senior management.

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers in alignment with SOPs and WIs.
Project & Product Management
-
Support resource and project planning aligned with product needs.

Ensure accountability for technology delivery of projects.

Implement agile methodologies to enhance delivery efficiency.

Contribute to the Clinical Quarterly Portfolio Value Dashboard.
Process Stewardship
-
Manage contracts for vendor spend under $250K and non-quality vendors.

Own vendor relationships and handle day-to-day escalations.

Support strategic planning and AOP cost centers.

Oversee monthly and F1 financials, including accruals.

Ensure technical resources are trained on GSM and learning plans.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 6 years’ experience in IT or deep technical competencies

Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience leading others and/or providing work direction

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor others
-
Ability to travel (expected to be less than twice per quarter)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Boston Scientific experience, particularly in IT

Master’s degree in related field; IT, engineering

Proven track record in effectively managing clinical IT applications in medical device or healthcare environments.

Proficiency in collaborating with data teams, including ETL, AWS, and reporting experts.
- Knowledge of SQL, Java, Angular, and Python.

Strong execution and ability to mentor developers and technical anlaysts.

Successful background in simultaneously overseeing multiple projects and products.

Proficient in negotiating contracts and statements of work with vendors.

Skilled in crafting comprehensive solution roadmaps and strategic plans.

Experienced in developing and executing annual operating plans.

Experienced operating in a Product Team model and agile methodology.
