About the role:

The Sr. Business Process Analyst is a pivotal member of the enterprise Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) operations team, responsible for executing daily, weekly and monthly operational objectives for the PPM system. Role requires mix of business acumen and judgment, fact-based decision making, and ability to quickly grasp technologies and global business perspective. Strong analytic capabilities, ability to drive to strategic insight, communication and presentation skills are required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with divisional PMO representatives to execute PPM operational needs
  • Performs trouble shooting and resolves system failures by analyzing issues and implementing corrective actions. Participates in root cause analysis and takes measures to address root cause analysis findings.
  • Resolves issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions.
  • Supports the creation and provides quality training material for user assistance and system usage.
  • Synergizing all divisional perspectives to inform design across enhancement planning, resource & financial management, resolving diverging needs.
  • Supports operating model and PPM system.
  • Develops constructive and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders (Finance, PMOs, IT, etc.)
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances documentation to ensure successful implementation.
  • Requires functional, technical, and industry knowledge to anticipate technical developments and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Works with the Product owner to execute the resolution of highly complex problems looking beyond existing methodologies to define and resolve complex problems.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the PPM system and business processes
  • Facilitate updates and critical communications to peers and senior management as needed.
  • Serves as a thought leader in own job function (s) and has comprehensive understanding of multiple related job functions.
  • Plans and organizes routine and non-routine tasks w/approval. Initiates or maintains work schedule and priorities. Plans and organizes project assignments and maintains project schedules.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance/Business or technical degree.
  • 4-7 years medical device project management office (PMO) experience, analytical roles or other portfolio management focused environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance/Business or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in system administration, preferably a corporate level project management tool.
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business processes

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Portfolio & Project Management platform experience, preferably Planisware
  • R&D financial budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge in BSC systems, such as PPMS, Project Home, SAP, Kronos, and SuccessFactors.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business processes.
  • Strong business acumen, knowledge driven decision-making, and ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies.  
  • Ability and desire to develop best practices and governance for portfolio and project management (PPM) software
  • Possess a strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement and drive to exceed expectations.
