About the role

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager is part of the Latin America Talent Acquisition team and the global TA Center of Excellence. This role leads the execution of the Costa Rica TA strategy and provides inputs on improvements, ensuring the organization attracts and hires top talent aligned with current and future business needs.  The TA Manager oversees the recruitment process and operation, manages a team of Recruiters, and partners with stakeholders to understand hiring forecasts and talent profiles, providing insights on market landscape, talent availability, and recruitment timelines.  This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.  Additionally, the TA Manager leads country and/or regional TA projects and actively contributes to global TA initiatives.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the business, stakeholders, and HR to understand business needs and align TA priorities accordingly.
  • Participate in the creation and lead the execution of the talent acquisition strategy for Costa Rica and/or for assigned business units, aligned with business forecast and talent needs.  Prepare and present progress updates.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Drive operational excellence, including capacity and workload distribution, key performance indicators, continuous improvement, and automation opportunities.
  • Implement standardized recruitment processes, policies and guidelines, tools, and metrics, aligned with global standards and industry practice.
  • Leverage market insights to inform talent-related strategies and hiring processes.
  • Manage and develop a team of Recruiters responsible for delivering hiring needs across assigned business units in Costa Rica.
  • Partner with Recruitment Marketing, Early Career, and other related TA programs to drive the Recruiting strategy and process.
  • Lead country/regional TA-related projects and contribute to global TA initiatives.
  • Manage TA process-related vendors.

 

In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:

  • Ensures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or related staffing functions.
  • 6+ years of people leadership experience, including managing recruiters or TA teams directly.
  • Proven experience leading TA operations in a complex, matrixed organization, ideally supporting high‑volume and specialized hiring.
  • Experience working in a multinational company, preferably in the medical or life sciences sector.
  • Knowledge of recruiting systems (ATS, CMS) and working knowledge of AI in recruiting.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (C1+).
  • Data-oriented.
  • Experience with process and continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with global or hub‑based TA models.
  • Experience working with and contributing to global TA/HR initiatives.
  • Change‑management capability.
