Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.

Boston Scientific is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support SAP Production Planning (SAP PPDS) and Supply Chain Planning for our S4 HANA business transformation program (Magellan). This individual will be part of the Enterprise Competency Center and will be the primary technical owner, which includes solution design, development, enhancement, documentation, and support end-to-end Supply Chain Planning business needs. In addition, the person will lead, collaborate and provide cutting edge solution to meet business requirements.

Your responsibilities:

•            Analyzing and translating business and technical requirement into an architectural blueprint that outlines solution to achieve complex business objectives.

•            Solution design, architecture, build, test, and implementation of end-to-end Supply Chain planning primarily focusing SAP PPDS, MRP, Planning tool like Kinaxis.

•            Provide architecture and design guidance to the development team to configure and develop solution as per the product development standard to meet business requirements.

•            Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items.

•            May lead multiple project activities simultaneously, working with internal and external cross-functional groups.

•            Resolve technical issues including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds and defect correction.

•            Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IS methodology and processes.

•            Lead roll-out and implementation of new business applications and functionality specifically within planning area

What we're looking for:

Required Qualifications:

•            Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

•            5+ Years of Solution Architect experience in Supply Chain Planning area

•            10+ Years of SAP Production Planning and execution implementation experience and

•            Experience with 2-3 full life cycle implementations in SAP IBP, MM, PPDS and SAP

•            Strong configuration and implementation skills in the areas of SAP.

•            Experience with Forecasting, Demand Management, Production Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Execution

•            Knowledge and experience of master data distribution of work centers / Resources, production versions, PPMs, PDS, capacities, Time-streams, CIF

•            Understanding the integration with various SAP modules like MM, QM, SD, WM and PM

•            Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

•            2-3 years in S/4HANA implementation engagements strongly preferred.

•            Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager Charm is an added advantage.

•            Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial
