The AI Ingestion Intern will collaborate with the Data Accelerator and Unified Data Platform (UDP) teams to pilot AI-Augmented code development approaches to ingest data from source systems to the UDP. This person will support the development, deployment, and optimization of AI-driven tools and solutions that enhance productivity and enable downstream AI projects with complete, consistent, and timely data. This role will work with other experienced developers to identify opportunities to accelerate the development and deployment of robust ingestion code.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Explore how AI can help us build data ingestion into Snowflake faster and more consistently using our existing AWS + Snowflake tools, reducing the need for new paid tools (e.g., Fivetran, GoldenGate).
- Build PoCs that show AI-assisted, repeatable ingestion pipelines for key sources:
- Oracle (including change data capture),
- Salesforce
- SAP-related sources (e.g., Ariba, Cvent, Concur).
- Prototype ways AI can reduce manual AWS Glue work by generating and improving common ingestion pieces (jobs/scripts, mappings, validations, and error handling) to speed up onboarding new sources.
- Create and test a repeatable “intake playbook” where AI helps generate pipeline setup (configs, schema mapping, and incremental load logic) so new pipelines are easier to spin up.
Required Qualifications:
- Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2028
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Computer Science, Business/Data Analytics, or Data Science.
- Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Arden Hills, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
