About the Role: 

This role will administer applications our users use everyday to perform their job, Advancing Science for Life.  Reporting to the Collaboration team manager, you will have a front row seat in testing/rolling out new features/applications, providing governance, communicating, and training allowing our users to be productive and collaborative.  While influencing all of our collaboration offerings, this role will specialize in Microsoft Teams. 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Teams SME / Product Owner 
    • SME for the Teams platform. 
    • Stay current on feature enhancement/changes and be prepared to discuss, create communications, and/or provide training on. 
    • Maintain documents, guides, training content, & eSC KBs on Teams 
    • Regularly audit Teams groups and oversee governance of the platform 
    • Collaboration with business units and other functions on opportunities with the Teams.  This includes Commercial Directors and VPs. 
    • Provide user support on advanced Teams issues 
    • Prepare business cases and financial review slides. 
  • M365 Collaboration Team member 
    • Be knowledgeable with most M365 applications and their use cases 
    • Be able to create promotional articles, videos, commercials, and training related to M365 applications. 
    • Provide recommendations on enhancements, policy changes, 3rd party app connections, etc. 
  • Support 
    • Maintain appropriate CSA support level for collaboration support tickets in Remedy (or any future ticketing system) 
    • Maintain, monitor, and respond to questions on the O365 Yammer feed. 
    • Be an active member of LearnIT and KnowIT with training and promotions.   
    • Must be able to prepare and lead live training sessions. 
    • Maintain documents and KTs on the M365 SharePoint site. 
    • Respond to O365 tag on the eSC Teams support channel 
  • M365 Governance Lead 
    • Lead the M365 governance group 
    • Collaborate with security, legal, and privacy on governance issues 
    • Recommend and perform cleanup activities, policy and features changes. 
    • Partner with communication teams on any changes 

What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years in IT  
  • 2+ years experience administering Microsoft365 
  • Experience administering Microsoft Teams  
  • Experience establishing application governance 
  • Knowledgeable in agile methodologies 
  • Previous product owner experience a plus 
  • Previous scrum master experience a plus 
  • Experience in creating and delivering training 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Candidate should be comfortable and willing to be in front of a live audience, and speak to senior leadership and/or to large groups of people
