About the role:


This role will provide support & administration for the Boston Scientific Virtual Desktops and Applications . You will be part of a global team dedicated to the Virtual environments, and will work closely with cross functional IT teams to ensure a positive user experience.   Standard hours will be 8am – 5:00 pm CST, and occasional support earlier or later will be required to facilitate service demand needs. This role is part of an on-call rotation for afterhours and weekend coverage. Occasional travel may be required.
Your responsibilities include:


  • Managing and Supporting VMWare Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
  • Managing and Supporting Azure Virtual Desktops
  • Managing and Supporting Virtual Applications (Citrix and Remote Applications)
  • Scripting for management and automation using PowerShell and GitOps
  • Managing and Supporting of Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure
  • Being able to work independently while using agile methodologies
  • Demonstrate technical leadership by staying current on new technologies
  • Implements continuous improvements (upgrades and patches) to ensure the environment is preventively maintained, running properly and protected from computer viruses and/or other security threats
  • Interact with users and other IT teams to accommodate requests for services 
  • Create and maintain all required technical documentation per IT methodology and processes
  • Lead trouble shooting initiatives and resolve failures by analyzing issues and implementing corrective actions. Lead root cause analysis and take measures to address root cause analysis findings
  • Lead project work stream activities, working with internal and external cross-functional groups
  • Adhere to tasks, and deliverables; identify dependencies and resource requirements and change management principles
  • Appropriately communicates project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items

What we're looking for: 


  • 5+ years’ experience in Information Technology
  • 2 + years’ experience with end user virtualization technologies
  • Understanding of Citrix Virtual Apps
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure Components & Services
  • Understanding and knowledge of Microsoft O365 (Power Platform) 
  • Experience in automation processes using PowerShell and/or GitOps
  • Experience in reporting 
  • Strong application and virtualization troubleshooting experience
