About the role:

As our Associate Director of Workforce Planning, you will lead the development and implementation of a global, integrated workforce planning function that ensures the organization has the right talent at the right time and cost. You will partner with HR leaders and executive stakeholders to forecast workforce capability and capacity needs and drive data-informed strategies to address talent gaps and enable scalable growth.
This highly visible role will shape the future of workforce planning across Boston Scientific by advancing an enterprise-wide, holistic approach to resource forecasting, capability building, and headcount optimization.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:

Advancing a global, enterprise-wide workforce planning discipline by building and championing a multi-year strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering on key program KPIs

Defining roles and responsibilities across internal teams and external partners to support a high-performing workforce planning function

Driving the adoption of workforce planning practices through effective change leadership and stakeholder engagement

Leading the innovation and integration of strategic, operational, and headcount/resource planning tools, processes, and technology

Monitoring enterprise-wide workforce demand and supply, identifying gaps, and providing strategic recommendations to HR and senior leadership

Serving as an advisor to C-suite and executive sponsors, communicating workforce growth trends and recommended actions

Developing and overseeing robust forecasting models that incorporate business data such as financials, supply chain trends, revenue forecasts, and leadership inputs

Collaborating with Finance and other HR programs to align planning cycles and inform enterprise workforce development initiatives

Partnering closely with the People Analytics team to deliver high-impact data and insights that support accurate planning and better talent decisions
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience, or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a workforce planning leadership role within a global manufacturing organization

Demonstrated success in leading the formation, rollout, and adoption of enterprise-wide programs in large, matrixed organizations

Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional and cross-business teams to drive alignment and execution

Strong leadership and program management skills, with experience directing large-scale initiatives with complex interdependencies

High level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence change through data-driven insights

Practical experience with full-cycle program management, including planning, execution, and optimization of workforce initiatives

Expertise in project management methodologies and their application in corporate environments

Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems using various data sources and propose actionable solutions

Experience leading executive-level presentations and facilitating meetings with senior stakeholders
