About the role:
The Associate Director of EP Skills Training will lead and grow a high-performing team responsible for delivering world-class education to healthcare professionals (HCPs). This role combines deep EP clinical knowledge with strategic curriculum design, adult-learning principles, and strong leadership to drive impactful learning journeys that enhance clinical outcomes and customer experience.
This role is hybrid based out of Arden Hills office location requiring you to be in office 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, develop, coach, and inspire a geographically dispersed, team of skills training managers.
- Establish clear performance goals, foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Build and retain top talent through mentorship and structured development plans.
Educational Strategy & Curriculum Design
- Drive the design, development, execution, and evaluation of advanced EP skills training programs (including simulation, hands-on labs, case-based learning, and digital education).
- Translate complex EP clinical science into relevant, learner-centric training content aligned with adult learning theory and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define learning objectives, success metrics, and continuous quality improvement mechanisms.
Clinical Knowledge & HCP Education
- Maintain deep expertise in electrophysiology procedures, technologies, devices, and clinical evidence to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
- Partner with KOLs and clinical experts to validate curricula and ensure clinical relevance, safety, and compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in EP training for internal leadership and external partners.
Learning Journey Development
- Architect comprehensive learning pathways that span pre-work, live training, virtual modules, and post-training reinforcement.
- Ensure training programs support HCP competency, confidence, and adoption of best practices across diverse learner segments.
- Incorporate data analytics to assess learner engagement, performance, and program impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, and Field Training teams to align educational offerings with business priorities.
- Influence cross-functional partners to integrate education strategy into broader product lifecycle plans.
Financial Planning & Budget Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget for EP skills training initiatives with strong financial discipline.
- Forecast resource needs, monitor expenditures, and ensure programs deliver ROI aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and scalable delivery models.
Communication & Influence
- Present educational strategy, program outcomes, and key insights to senior leadership, global stakeholders, and advisory boards.
- Serve as a persuasive ambassador for EP education initiatives within and outside the organization.
- Influence decision-making through data, trends, and expert perspective.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Education, Healthcare, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare training/education or marketing.
- Proven experience designing and delivering curriculum and learning journeys in a medical device or therapeutic arena.
- Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Financial acumen and experience managing training budgets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated EP clinical knowledge (e.g., electrophysiology practices, catheters, mapping systems, ablation technologies).
- Experience in Professional Education or Clinical Education within a medical device or biotech company.
- Familiarity with adult learning theories, instructional design frameworks, and learning technology platforms.
- Track record of driving measurable learning outcomes and operational excellence.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
