About the role:
As part of the Global Business Services (GBS) Strategy & Operations team, the Associate Project Manager leads and supports high-impact initiatives within the GBS Commercial Services Portfolio. This role manages cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that drive operational excellence and strategic transformation.
Projects range in size and complexity and may involve business process improvements, service transitions, quality or compliance initiatives, and broader enterprise-wide changes. The Associate PM plays a critical role in stakeholder engagement, project execution, change management, and continuous improvement.
Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model that requires employee to be onsite 3-days a week in Arden Hills, MN or Marlborough, MA. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading portfolio governance activities to plan, prioritize, and execute the project roadmap
- Coaching project leads on project management (PM) and change management (CM) best practices and tools
- Developing and executing effective change management strategies to ensure stakeholder engagement and successful adoption
- Facilitating cross-functional communication and ensuring accountability for project tasks, deliverables, and timelines
- Defining and managing project scope through formal governance channels
- Creating and managing integrated project and change management plans
- Supporting business case development, budgeting, and financial tracking
- Building project teams and defining/adapting team roles and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle
- Identifying, communicating, and mitigating project risks
- Guiding teams in assessing alternatives, evaluating impacts, and implementing effective decisions
- Capturing and sharing best practices and lessons learned to enhance organizational project maturity
- Driving intentional and sustainable change adoption, reinforcing behaviors, and ensuring smooth handoffs to process owners
- Championing a culture of continuous improvement by applying process optimization tools and fostering innovation in collaboration with stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project leadership
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and others
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working across time zones, cultures, and diverse backgrounds, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Previous experience managing projects within Commercial Services or a shared services environment
- Familiarity with enterprise process improvement or Lean methodologies
