About the role:
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects related to acquisition integrations. This individual will play a key role in connecting Boston Scientific IT with newly acquired businesses by leading and coordinating project workstreams that ensure smooth and efficient onboarding of IT systems and services.

In this role, you will collaborate with BSC IT teams, legacy IT teams, business stakeholders, and project managers to drive high-quality integration of IT capabilities—including infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, and user support functions. This position provides a unique opportunity to contribute directly to strategic growth while strengthening operational excellence.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arden Hills, MN office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:
● Develop and manage project plans, schedules, estimates, and resource requirements for IT infrastructure integration projects
● Partner with functional IT teams and legacy systems teams to define requirements and ensure alignment with business integration goals
● Lead cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are achieved, risks are mitigated, and deliverables meet business needs
● Coordinate implementation plans, assign roles, and monitor execution across local and global IT teams
● Oversee multiple projects in parallel, managing scope, timelines, risks, budgets, and communication updates to stakeholders
● Provide clear updates and reporting to leadership and stakeholders on status, risks, and decision points
● Analyze and present technical project recommendations, including cost of ownership and alignment with business outcomes
● Ensure infrastructure readiness including processes, training programs, organizational roles, and documentation
● Lead cross-functional team members and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative environment
● Identify opportunities for process improvement and promote continuous learning in project execution
● Mentor junior project leaders on project management practices and techniques as needed
● Participate in professional development through industry events and internal learning programs

 

Required qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure delivery and support
● Minimum of 2 years' experience leading end-to-end infrastructure projects
● Working knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, Azure, telephony, and end-user IT support
● Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
● Experience in systems analysis, software delivery lifecycle, and testing leadership
● Ability to partner effectively across business divisions and matrixed environments
● Experience working within a regulated environment, preferably in medical devices or life sciences
● Strong communication skills with the ability to present to leadership and stakeholders
● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering value-driven solutions
● Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements and optimize project delivery

 

Preferred qualifications:
● Project Management certification (e.g., PMP)
● Experience independently leading IT infrastructure deployments
● Experience implementing cross-functional, integrated systems across varied business domains

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
