About the Role: 

The Business Process Analyst II position will be part of Boston Scientific's (BSC) Supply Chain Planning Center of Excellence (COE) group. The primary objective is to develop, enhance and sustain the effectiveness Kinaxis Rapid Response (RR) Planning System implemented within BSC. The focus of the job will be to ensure smooth data flow between various planning, execution, and reporting systems. Also, to maintain the health and effectiveness of the RR system and support the implementation of system enhancements in RR to improve the effectiveness of Sales, Inventory, and Operations planning (SI&OP) and execution processes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Supply Chain planning system development with database and data analysis skills. 


Your Responsibilities Include: 

  • Enhance processes to ensure timely and accurate data transfer to and from RR and within RR systems. This could include a partnership with the team of contractors who monitors the consistent execution of data extraction in SAP, consolidation of data in EAI platforms, and transfer, ingestion, and transformation of data in RR
  • Manage a weekly change control process designed to implement enhancements to the RR production system
  • Facilitate user access requests
  • Support the quarterly audit process and requests for audit documentation
  • Support the COE in resolving system performance, data, and process issues.
  • Drive processes to ensure data integrity and consistency across SAP, RR, and other supporting systems.
  • Analyze, design, develop and implement enhancements to the RR planning system primarily focused on RR DCAs (data change alerts) and workbook development in collaboration with COE workstreams (Demand, Supply, SI&OP, Analytics), Control Tower, and IT.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain COE group to maintain communication channels to highlight agreed priorities, set deliverable expectations, and report actual performance to the group.
  • Build content and processes to educate the COE team about system updates and changes.
  • Develop deep expertise in planning processes and RR capabilities.
  • Foster a community that shares best practices and drives innovative ideas for further improving our planning solution.
  • Support a work environment of continuous improvement in line with BSC's Quality Policy, Quality System, and appropriate regulations for the areas supported.
  • Special projects as they arise


What We're Looking For:


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, IS, or related field.
  • 2+ years of software development, preferably in the area of Materials / Supply Chain planning.
  • Strong understanding of database programming, database design, and SQL.  
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts and paradigms. Practical, demonstrable knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (JavaScript, C#, VB). 
  • Practical knowledge of enterprise system integration and data interfaces.
  • Detail-oriented and organized. 
  • Performs to a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization successfully. 
  • Fluent in English, excellent oral and written skills. 
  • Highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures. 
  • Self-motivated, independent worker. 
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.  



  • 2+ years of Rapid Response workbook and DCA development
  • Experience with SAP MRP and advanced supply chain planning software
