About the role:

Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling Boston Scientific to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.

As the Sr Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful Business Transformation across the Magellan Customer to Cash team. This role will operate in a Scaled Agile ERP Framework, reporting to the Director of Marketing and Commercial Excellence for Global Capital Equipment. The role will initially scope the long lead-time constraints and develop solutions, as part of a cross functional Enterprise-wide team, progressing into an Agile ERP product team for Design/Build cycles.

This role represents the Business Users, collaborating with the Magellan Workstreams, Strategic Integration Vendors, Boston Scientific Business Process Leads, Subject Matter Experts, COP teams and Stakeholders across the network. The Program will have the following phases: Project Solution Confirmation, Pre-Project Portfolio Surge activity, Requirements, Design, Build and Testing, Deployment to post Go Live sustaining.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:

● Represent Commercial Capital Equipment business users by working closely with key Stakeholders to translate User Requirements into Business User Stories and the ‘Who, What, Why’ Acceptance Criteria

● Analyze and translate User Requirements distinctly and assess options before arriving at the aspired solution to improving current systems to increase productivity

● Coordinating the User Requirements, aligning to Testing Scenarios, creation of test cases, and execution of test cases to support the Testing Phase and network-wide Deployment

● Liaise with the Training team and Site Super Users/ Business Process Leads /Subject Matter Experts to support training plans for each of the key Applications to enhance the knowledge base across the Service to Cash workstream

● Proactively influencing functionally, regionally, in areas of new concepts, adoption of Best Practices and simplify and standardize to those Best Practice across Service to Cash Business processes and its interfacing application ServiceMax

● Coordinating and liaison with the other Magellan Workstreams, Business Process Leads, SME’s, Communities of Practice’s, IT Solution Architects/COE and Stakeholders across the network to develop a strong and deep pool of expertise across Service to Cash

● Collaborate with the broader Magellan Outbound Workstream, IT Solution Architects/ COE and the other Magellan Workstreams in a Scalable Agile Framework/DevOps methodology, to enable rapid deployment

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required

● Minimum of 3 years' technical professional or operational experience in medical device field

● Minimum of 3 years' experience with Systems/Applications in SAPx; Business Process Leads /Subject Matter Experts in one or more of: SAP, Salesforce, ServiceMax

● Previous experience of a major program introduction/upgrade, ideally within an IT/Systems or Business representative role

● Working knowledge of ERP systems combined with knowledge of key business processes

● A proven track record of Continuous Improvement, system upgrades/enhancements, proactive problem solving or LBP

● Previous experience of Scaled Agile Project Management an advantage and/or proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and respond to a fast-changing environment

● Creates a sense of energy, excitement, and personal commitment to the organization by empowering others, and creating an inclusive workplace

Preferred qualifications:

● Working knowledge of SAP S4HANA service management and/or ServiceMax processes

● Experience with our Capital Equipment Service and Commercial processes

● Analytical problem solving and critical thinking

● Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to understand gaps and risk assessment

● Good listening and communication skills, with ability to transfer knowledge efficiently

● Process modeling capabilities

● Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility

● Ability to establish, communicate and engage teams in the vision & strategy of the Magellan Program

● Sense of urgency and commitment to execution

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
