About the role: 

The MES modeler supports Manufacturing Execution System (MES) users and manages the manufacturing configuration. This includes end user support, configuring the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support manufacturing processes, and creation and maintenance of the Device Master Record in Windchill.


Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Rapidly troubleshoot and complete end-user requests
  • Create, refine, and troubleshoot MES configurations to optimize quality and operational effectiveness
  • Create and manage information related to MES configurations in Windchill
  • Collaborate with process owners and project teams to create and optimize solutions 
  • Provide training, coaching and mentorship for system users and MES support staff
  • Participate in cross-functional teams (involving Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Production)
  • Identify and implement process and application/system improvements
  • Perform and document tests

 Required qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with software systems supporting manufacturing activities, including Manufacturing Execution, Product Data Management, and ERP systems (e.g. Camstar, Windchill, SAP)
  • Ability to manage complex, detailed processes and work assignments
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative, team environment
  • Ability to adapt to and embrace change 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field
  • Experience working in a regulated environment 
  • Manufacturing experience 
  • Demonstrated initiative to identify and drive improvements 
  • Continuous improvement and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification 
  • Experience with process automation tools (e.g. Excel macros, RPA software) 
  • Knowledge of CFR, ISO requirements
