About the role:
The Business Systems Analyst will partner with our Legal and Compliance business partners to deliver and support various business systems and applications to improve processes and create efficiencies. The individual will be responsible for day-to-day business systems management, reporting solutions and analytic tools used by the Intellectual Property Legal Department.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
⦁    Work with the Intellectual Property Team to define and prioritize projects and requirements, specifically supporting the IP Operations Manager, Chief IP Counsel, IP attorneys, and Data Analyst.
⦁    Defines and re-engineers business systems or information technology processes by using appropriate methods and tools and partnering with process owners to understand requirements.
⦁    Utilizes information systems to improve efficiency and makes recommendations for implementation of new systems or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and company requirements.
⦁    Resolves issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions.
⦁    Assist with the translation of business requirements into reporting solutions, analytic tools, and dashboards to deliver actionable data to end users.
⦁    Identify and implement report automation and optimization opportunities.
⦁    Provides ongoing support to the analytics strategy of the Intellectual Property Team through use of analytic reports, dashboards, and project initiatives alongside the Data Analyst.
⦁    Works closely with internal and external teams to assure a timely solution according to the specifications and implementation of business needs.
⦁    Work with stakeholders on the ongoing development and production of  reporting and analytic solutions, with the goals of:
⦁    Driving real-time knowledge and decision-making
⦁    Streamlining existing reporting tools in use
⦁    Strategically automating dashboards and increasing functionalities
 
Basic Qualifications

⦁    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required 
⦁    Experience with business systems management is required; 3-5 years of intellectual property experience is preferred
⦁    Ability to partner with business divisions and functions in delivery
⦁    Previous experience working in a cross-functional business environment
⦁    Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
⦁    Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with leadership
⦁    Strong problem solving and analytical skills
⦁    Demonstrates courage in ensuring value-driven solutions are delivered
⦁    Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI
