The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for driving the safe and effective adoption of Boston Scientific's leadless cardiac rhythm management (CRM) portfolio through comprehensive clinical education and training. This role serves as a clinical expert for healthcare providers and internal partners by delivering product education, procedural support, and therapy expertise while collaborating cross-functionally to expand patient access and advance clinical excellence.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

● Educate healthcare providers on product indications and promote adoption of the leadless CRM portfolio through comprehensive clinical education.

● Provide clinical expertise and product training to field personnel and both existing and prospective healthcare provider customers.

● Deliver training in accordance with the Quality Document: EMPOWER Leadless Pacemaker Physician Training Program.

● Provide technical support consistent with approved instructions for use and applicable clinical trial protocols.

● Support physician, clinical staff, and internal personnel education through formal and informal training programs.

● Serve as the clinical therapy expert for Subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD) and leadless pacemaker technologies, including device implantation, patient selection, reimbursement, and programming.

● Educate physicians, nurses, educators, and other healthcare professionals on patient selection criteria and appropriate therapy indications.

● Coordinate and deliver educational programs and clinical resources that expand market adoption and improve patient access to therapy.

● Lead local field education initiatives, including simulated procedures, device follow-up support, and clinical troubleshooting.

● Deliver education through multiple learning modalities, including in-person and virtual programs.

● Partner with Marketing to provide customer insights that support technology enhancements and future product development.

● Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to continuously evolve and improve leadless pacemaker education and training programs.

 

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

● Comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex medical devices.

● Demonstrated collaboration, teamwork, and effective communication skills.

● Ability to quickly adapt to new professional environments, including hospitals and electrophysiology laboratories.

● Flexibility to accommodate unanticipated travel for clinical expertise and case support.

● Demonstrated ability to influence customers and clinical stakeholders.

● Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.

● Thorough knowledge of Boston Scientific policies, operations, and procedures.

● Ability to travel up to 70% of the time.

● Ability to obtain and maintain all required hospital vendor credentialing.

Preferred qualifications:

● Minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical device industry with a focus on cardiac rhythm management (CRM) products.

● Bachelor's degree in a technical, scientific, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

● Strong knowledge of Subcutaneous ICD (S-ICD) therapy and implantation procedures.

● Professional training or clinical education experience.

● Previous experience supporting leadless pacemaker technologies.

● Demonstrated business acumen.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
