1st Shift hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

2nd Shift hours: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm - additional $2.25 per hour for shift differential

 
About the role: 

The Capital Equipment Mfg Technician III will perform a variety of moderately complex tasks to ensure production quality standards are met.  Under limited supervision, performs the setup of equipment, fixtures, components, cables, etc. for test.  Performs all mechanical assemblies.  Performs hand setups for AC and digital tests, recognizes failures and setup problems, and determines need for appropriate verification.  Operates programmable AC auto-tests, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and special AC test fixtures.  No instructions are needed on routine work, and general instructions are given on new lines of work or special assignments.

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Performs final assembly and test on all products.
  • Independently operates and tests computer-controlled devices and perform detailed problem solving.
  • Supports Manufacturing Engineering and R&D with the testing of new products as required.
  • Use detailed troubleshooting skills at system assembly levels on all products.  Diagnose the problem, get to root cause and give feedback to ME’s.
  • Improves product reliability by working with ME’s and attending meetings as required.
  • Train Product Builders and Technicians I & II, and other internal and external customers as required.
  • Follows procedures from SFP (Shop Floor Paperwork) and has detailed knowledge of how MPI’s, TPI’s, drawings, etc. are used.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering personnel to review process instructions and procedures to improve the processes.
  • Provides support for Capital Equipment Manufacturing, Repair Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and any other internal customer as required.
  • Performs and explains the testing of products during a tour, inspection or audit.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Required qualifications: 

  • 3 Years of experience 
  • Assocaites Degree - or equivalent work experience.
