About this role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly advanced Business Systems Analyst to serve as a system owner, automation architect, and operational intelligence partner for enterprise platforms supporting clinical, regulatory, and data-driven environments.
These systems are not off-the-shelf tools; they are purpose-built solutions designed to integrate complex clinical, operational, and analytical data into cohesive workflows that support study execution, resource planning, compliance, and decision-making. This role ensures that system logic, configurations, and workflows remain aligned with evolving clinical strategies, regulatory expectations, and operational needs.
The Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining, enhancing, and protecting the integrity of these systems, ensuring they deliver accurate, traceable, and trusted outputs. This role will also leverage automation and AI-driven capabilities to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and enable scalable support for increasingly complex clinical and data environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Maintain deep expertise in system logic, calculations, data flows, and integrations across clinical and enterprise platforms
• Translate clinical and operational processes into clear functional specifications and system enhancements
• Synthesize inputs from multiple sources (e.g., study workflows, requirements, change requests) into structured and scalable system logic
• Ensure the integrity and reliability of system outputs by validating calculations, configurations, and data, with attention to traceability and compliance expectations
• Design and implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort in areas such as requirements management, validation support, and data processing
• Leverage AI tools to analyze, synthesize, and maintain system requirements, documentation, and process outputs, particularly in regulated or high-complexity environments
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance clinical and operational processes through automation and AI-enabled capabilities
• Own and evolve system requirements, ensuring alignment between clinical workflows, system behavior, and expected outputs
• Design, execute, and oversee system testing (functional, regression, and UAT) to ensure accuracy, stability, and validation readiness
• Assess downstream impacts of system and process changes and coordinate mitigation strategies with technical, data, and operational teams
• Act as a critical thought partner, challenging assumptions and ensuring solutions are grounded in sound clinical, operational, and data logic
• Partner with engineering, data, and business teams to support platform scalability, performance, and modernization
• Support end users through troubleshooting, workflow guidance, and development of documentation aligned to regulated and audit-ready standards
Required qualifications:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or related roles within clinical, life sciences, or regulated environments
• Demonstrated experience owning or supporting enterprise or clinical systems and associated workflows
• Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements management, and functional solution design
• Experience working with complex data structures, system integrations, and data validation practices
• Proven experience supporting system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing in structured or regulated environments
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements, automation solutions, or AI-enabled workflows
• Ability to work effectively across business, clinical, and technical teams in a cross-functional environment
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data integrity
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience supporting clinical operations, study execution, or related regulated processes
• Experience applying automation or AI tools within clinical, regulatory, or enterprise data environments
• Familiarity with validation frameworks, audit expectations, and traceability practices
• Ability to operate independently and drive ambiguous, complex problem spaces to structured outcomes
• Experience partnering closely with software engineering, data engineering, or analytics teams
• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate alignment across clinical, operational, and technical domains
