Clinical Project Manager II

 

Location : Arden Hills, MN

Work Mode : Hybrid, 3 days onsite

 

About the role: 

 

The Clinical Project Manager is responsible for planning projects within the Clinical organization. Clinical Project Managers support projects throughout the project life cycle as well as consult with business leads to develop and implement achievable franchise plans. This role will not have direct reports and therefore will need to have excellent communication and influence skills.  

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of the integrated project planPartner with team to build team ownership and commitment to the plan and leads the team to execute to plan.  
  • Conducts on-going assessment of the current state process and procedures and their ability to meet agreed upon timelines and expectationsLead cross-functional process recommendations and projects to drive process improvements that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes. 
  • Uses internal systems to update project milestones and metrics, timelines, and other key project data; create new project metrics and reporting to be shared with leaders on the progress of the program. 
  • Assists in identification of risks and issues as well as creation of mitigation strategies. Develops processes and mechanisms to ensure expedited communication and management of key issues as needed. 
  • With the functional management build, update, and maintain staffing models for specific business areas utilizing data predictors, present staffing models and other data analysis to operational and business partners on a routine basis. 
  • Responsible for program management schedule, risk, and progress related communications. Informs and presents project progress to plan and known risks to senior leadership. Communicates and influences resolution of cross-functional budget or capacity issues. 
  • Assists with management of portfolio and project financials including budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking. Participates in budget development and evaluating how portfolio and project plan changes impact cost and schedule. Provides reporting to key stakeholder areas as requested. 
  • Establishes effective, collaborative working relationships with external entities and internal organizations to maximize project efficiency, responsiveness, and resource allocation. Mentoring and/or coaching other functional and project managers. 
  • Resolving conflicts with team members and providing input to functional managers on team and team member performance. Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. 

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • 10 years with bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education/work experience 
  • Clinical trial and/or Project Management experience 
  • Interacting with stakeholders and business colleagues to analyze and define business requirements and related project reporting, developing methodologies to create and enhance applications and tools 
  • MS Project experience 
  • Ability to present to senior levels within the organization 

 

Preferred qualifications and competencies:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Clinical or Financial planning systems experience 
  • Ability to lead teams in a collaborative manner 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail 
  • Ability to influence change to bring forward Learning opportunities across the organization 
  • PMP Certification
