About this role:

The Clinical Trial Specialist II supports, under the supervision of the Clinical Manager/Clinical Trial Manager, the execution of global clinical studies and clinical programs involving departmental or cross-functional teams in support of the organizations business objectives for product development and/or commercialization.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supports the project team in the planning, execution and management of operational aspects of clinical trials.
  • Assists with writing study protocols, protocol amendments, informed consents, clinical study project timelines
  • May support authoring scientific papers for publication by evaluating scientific literature and publications, and analyzing scientific data. 
  • With supervision participates in the execution of clinical studies in accordance with the project plans, budget and resource allocations following applicable regulatory and standard operating procedures.
  • Provides accurate progress reports on clinical projects by writing assigned clinical portions of reports for submission to regulatory agencies, Institutional Review Boards, Medical Ethics Committees, etc. 
  • In collaboration with the project team, supports the proactive identification, assessment, and management of clinical study risks.
  • May manage vendor contracts and ensures expenditures are within budgetary guidelines.
  • Supports a continuous state of audit readiness.
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment to determine appropriate action. Has knowledge of alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the business or technological environment.
  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
  • Works under general direction regarding the progress of projects and special assignments. May seek guidance in resolving problems, interpreting established policies, procedures and practices.  Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment.
  • Cultivates a wide range of internal business relationships and begins to develop an external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks. May lead a project team of small to moderate scope. Influence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management.
  • Engages with internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.  Uses diplomacy and tact in interactions and problem solving.

     

What we’re looking for in you:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Clinical trial experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CRM, EP or Left Atrial Appendage Clinical trial or technical experience
  • Global clinical trial experience
  • Prefer a professional with a wide-range of experience and expertise in a specialized technical field.
  • Ability to apply comprehensive technical knowledge of a particular field to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
