Contract Administrator

About the role:
At Boston Scientific, we advance science for life by delivering innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world. As a Contract Administrator, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Services and Solutions contractual matters. In this highly visible role, you will lead the development, negotiation, and management of complex contract terms and conditions while ensuring compliance with company policies, business objectives, and legal standards. This position plays a key role in enabling business growth, mitigating risk, and driving operational excellence across Boston Scientific’s global services portfolio.

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own and manage the development, review, and maintenance of Terms & Conditions for Services & Solutions contracts, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead redlining and negotiation processes, partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, and Business Unit stakeholders to reach timely and mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Manage the end-to-end Legal Review process for contract language, ensuring issues are identified, escalated, and resolved efficiently.
• Facilitate contract archival, tracking, and reporting to support visibility, compliance, and process optimization.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, and functional teams to streamline the Terms & Conditions lifecycle, driving consistency and efficiency across all agreements.
• Develop, enhance, and implement new Terms & Conditions language and templates in response to evolving business needs and industry standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on contract governance, offering guidance and training to internal teams to strengthen overall contract management capabilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and simplify contracting processes, leveraging data insights and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract management, contract administration, or related legal/business operations role.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract law, risk assessment, and regulatory considerations.
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with contract lifecycle management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred qualifications:
• Advanced degree or certification in Contract Management (e.g., IACCM/WorldCC or equivalent).
• Experience working in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level contract management systems and process automation tools.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement or standardization initiatives.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
