About the Role

As a Sr Software Developer you will design, develop, enhance, document, and support solutions as part of a team developing innovative new solutions.  You are a highly-motivated professional who can help us build our API capabilities and be leader on our integration modernization strategy

 

Your Responsibilities

You want to enable the efficiently delivery of high-quality, maintainable solutions by working with software teams to delivery information efficiently. You understand the challenges of API development/management and have embraced agile practices.  You are excited to develop APIs as well as leading a transformation where integration capabilities empower the product teams via self-service.   You enjoy mentoring junior developers but are also comfortable working independently.  You and are not afraid to tell us areas where we can improve on are ultimately focused on the success of the larger team.

 

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Designs and configures API policies, security, governance and access
  • Defines and strategizes API Design & API Management including self-service capabilities
  • Works with Project and Product teams to analyze/define/design API solutions
  • Strong experience in building, configuration and administering of REST and SOAP APIs
  • Experience in integrating, diagnosing and debugging complex systems
  • Creates and maintains system documentation according to the IT methodology
  • Understands and coordinates with teams on analytics, logs and reporting
  • Proactively keeps up with industry and technology best practices
  • Provides support by proactively monitoring platforms and seeking to improve application availability, quality, and performance
  • Works with security and quality teams to ensure standards are employed
  • Cross-trains teams on the use and roll-out of the of API self-service tools
  • Experience with Agile product development methodologies, working on Scrum teams
  • Accountable for technical issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction
  • Maintains collaborative working relationship with IT business partners and software vendor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience using and IBM API Connect and IBM Datapower is highly preferred
  • Ability to present ideas to an audience with a broad range of experience
  • Experience developing software within a regulated environment in the medical industry · 
  • Experience with Elastic Runtime Environments and /or Cloud Foundry PaaS technology
  • Experience with a CI/CD pipelines Concourse, GIT, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, etc.· 
  • Familiarity with common healthcare systems integration approaches: HL7, FHIR, DIRECT/HISP, EDI Familiarity with Healthcare Interface Engine such as Mirth or other engines is a plus· 
  • Familiarity with relational and non-SQL, Event Driven Architectures/messaging and process orchestration is a plus

  • Ability to leading and educate/train others · 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices · 
  • Experience developing software within a regulated environment in the medical industry · 
  • Experience with Spring Framework · Experience working with EMR/EHR applications is a plus
  • Familiarity with common healthcare systems integration approaches: HL7, FHIR, DIRECT/HISP, EDI
  • Familiarity with Healthcare Interface Engine such as Mirth or other engines is a plus· 
  • Familiarity with relational and non-SQL, Event Driven Architectures/messaging and process orchestration is a plus
