About the role:
The Director HR Business Partner – Global Ops will provide strategic HR support to a number of groups within the global ops organization; including the following: Global Technology Services, Global Process Development, Global Enterprise Excellence, Global Security & Aviation, and Global Ops Finance.  The successful candidate will partner with senior business leaders to guide, develop, and drive organizational effectiveness, support the execution of business strategy via alignment of HR initiatives and processes and provide HR oversight and leadership across the teams.


This role will be hybrid out of either Arden Hills, MN, Maple Grove, MN or Marlborough, MA reporting directly to the VP HR Global Operations and requires close collaboration with HRBPs supporting different Global Operations client groups to deploy consistent processes across global ops. This position plays a significant role in driving talent agenda across global ops and BSC NPD organizations through leadership of programs such as EXCELerate and including stewardship of HR and organization imperatives at the Technical Executive Committee (TEC).


Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Set strategic direction and participate in the design, development and execution of organizational effectiveness, including organizational design and development. Conduct assessments and provide a clear picture of the current state gaps and a plan develop action plans to support achievement of organization objectives. 
  • Support the client group’s annual strategic plan and operating plan through the application of organizational development insights, capability assessments and strategic workforce planning.
  • Provide HR leadership and guidance to client group(s) in the following areas: capability assessments, competency development, succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, total rewards, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
  • Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to address and satisfy the strategic needs of the business.  Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making long-range strategic decisions related to human capital.
  • Leverage HR People Services to support calendar driven HR processes, manager and employee coaching, performance management and engagement support. 
  • Coach and consult with management on issues affecting morale, performance, development and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.
  • Responsible for identifying gaps between current organizational capabilities, required competencies and skills, and the future strategic objectives of the function.
  • Support key strategic programs including acquisition integrations and organizational transformations. 
  • Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives within the division to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization. 
  • Ensure effective human capital reporting, metrics and analytics tools and processes to advance the business and human capital strategies.
  • Build the right culture and work closely with Senior Management to drive and embed company values and behaviors and ensure leaders leverage these to motivate and engage teams.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. 
  • Build and share functional expertise, industry insights and best practices with the global HR teams to ensure high level HR quality support to the business.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related field of study
  • 15+ years’ experience in a progressive Human Resources organization or relevant business environment


Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR experience in a matrixed, global growth-oriented corporate environment.
  • Previous experience initiating and leading change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex business challenges, both urgent short-term issues and long-term strategic items.
  • Experience with developing and implementing custom talent management strategies
  • Has worked on creating engagement and retention strategies and plans with successful deployment.
  • Ability to drive consistency in HR practices across a global organization
  • Ability to envision, drive and manage complex organizational change and development coupled with relentless follow-through to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with proven, in-depth experience in assessing, identifying, designing and implementing talent management and organization effectiveness initiatives.
  • Demonstrated cultural agility and ability to effectively lead across many different cultures.
  • Thrives in a team oriented, high demand and high-performance culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions when needed.
  • Executive presence and polish, with strong ethics and intellectual honesty.
