About the Role:

 

The Director, Program Management at Boston Scientific is responsible for the integration, management, and direction of strategic level programs within Arden Hills Operations. Functions as the central resource for site, divisional, and organizational level partnerships focusing on acquisitions, mergers, transfers, new products/business, and manufacturing site selections for the Arden Hills plant. 


The Director, Program Management is responsible for the development and execution of a program plan to deliver the defined solution business case.  Identifies and provides resolution of staffing and resource requirements and issues and develops and manages the project deliverables. 

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and/or manage flexible capacity for transfers, acquisitions, integrations, instant offense, new products/new business generation.
  • Project management leadership of new product transfers in/out of Arden Hills operations with a strong focus on the partnership between production, engineering, process development, and divisional customers.
  • Responsible for the execution of Arden Hills Annual SQP development and execution.
  • Responsible for managing site StAR (Strategic Project) program.
  • Primary point of contact for divisional, business unit, and cross-functional communications, planning, and collaboration.  Responsible for coordinating annual manufacturing leadership site visit, strategic partnerships, site tour requests, etc.,
  • Manages multiple cross-functional development teams; Provides input into functional directors on team and team member performance.
  • Develops and implements business plan, including cost, scheduling, risk and performance for new product introduction or significant continuation projects per Project Leadership Excellence handbook.
  • Ensures Arden Hills is leveraging “BSC Business Essentials” best practices and tools as appropriate for the projects and New Product Excellence, specifically T&C’s from Project Leadership Excellence and DCM’s from PD Essentials.  
  • Leads a team in completion of product development plans including the continuous cascade to identified markets to ensure appropriate product availability in alignment with plan. 
  • Provides structured thinking to project team on overall approach and delegates as appropriate. Leads the team in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications.
  • Demonstrates PLCP systems knowledge through delivery of high quality and high impact deliverables; Knowledge of quality system use for the creation and continued compliance of products; Actively leads and reviews policy and practice improvements to drive functional excellence; Influences cross-functional and cross-divisional system effectiveness.  
  • Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.
  • Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Develops and executes organizational and operational policies that affect one or more groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
  • Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules to achieve department objectives.
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Extensive leadership experience required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years engineering/regulated industry related experience required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years Project Management experience.
  • Experience in partnering with multiple divisional and plant customers.
  • PMP Certification is preferred
