As a member of our Implantable Hardware Design Group in Arden Hills MN, you will be a key contributor on our Analog IC Design team.

We continue to innovate in key areas and are extending our innovations into new geographies and high-growth adjacency markets.  In Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) we offer solutions for treating irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, and protecting against sudden cardiac arrest.  Boston Scientific develops, manufactures, and markets a broad array of products and services that enable less-invasive care for some of the most threatening cardiac conditions.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform system level, chip level and block level IC design activities including: Circuit Architecture definition, circuit design, schematic capture, circuit simulation, floor planning and layout.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as Systems, Digital Design, and Test Engineering to develop hardware requirements.
  • Conduct thorough planning, protocol development and evaluation of circuit performance at the IC, PCB, and higher medical device assembly levels.
  • Prepare documentation, protocols, reports and conduct circuit level design reviews.
  • Conduct IC design and verification activities using methods determined by approved procedures and standards.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years as an Analog Design Engineer with BSEE or greater.
  • Knowledge and experience in low power analog design techniques.
  • Strong lab skills and hands on experience with standard electrical test equipment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Cadence design tools (Virtuoso, Spectre, etc).
  • PCB / Board level electrical design experience.
  • Experience with LabView and/or Matlab.
  • Medical device or other high reliability industry experience.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently to plan, schedule and execute activities necessary to meet project timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
