The Research and Development Senior Engineer will have a leading role in the development and integration of new catheter-based technologies for improving the safety, effectiveness, and usability of ablation devices in the field of cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates novel technology enhancements to therapeutic ablation catheters to meet customer and market demands in the rapidly growing and evolving electrophysiology marketplace.
  • Works with cross-functional engineering teams to develop prototype catheters, electronic instrumentation and signal processing algorithms from concept level through final implementation.   
  • Plans and executes laboratory and preclinical research to prove feasibility of concepts and ensure robust technology performance that meets customer needs and global regulatory approval requirements.

Specialized/technical skills include:

  • Knowledge of Electrophysiology
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with team members
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines
  • Strong data analysis skills 
  • Capability to summarize and communicate results to technical community through standard reports/ documentation
  • Experience with algorithm development for physiologic signals

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 6+ Years with BS
  • 3 - 6 Years with MS
  • 0 - 3 Years with PhD
  • Degree in Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in cardiac electrophysiology
