About the role:

The Global Data Lead – Forecast to Plan plays a critical role in managing Boston Scientific’s data assets—including transactional data, master data, and key performance indicators—within the Forecast to Plan domain. This position partners closely with Global Process Owners, Data Owners, Data Analysts, and IT to implement and maintain best-in-class data governance practices that promote data accuracy, compliance, and strategic accessibility. As a cross-functional leader in the enterprise data governance ecosystem, this role ensures harmonized data standards and optimizes data use to support business success globally.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

● Define and maintain a comprehensive catalog of business metadata across systems, ensuring clear and consistent definitions.

● Identify and assign data ownership and stewardship for critical data fields; drive cross-functional resolution of ownership conflicts.

● Collaborate with system owners to establish and manage appropriate data access controls.

● Define and implement data quality rules for the Forecast to Plan domain; partner with technical teams to integrate these into Informatica Data Quality.

● Monitor and improve data quality metrics through root cause analysis, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and reliable.

● Educate data owners on error resolution processes and promote accountability.

● Represent the Forecast to Plan function in the development and enforcement of enterprise-wide data governance policies and standards.

● Contribute to the design and execution of Boston Scientific’s enterprise data governance framework across people, process, and technology.

● Act as a liaison between Forecast to Plan, IT, and Enterprise Data Governance to resolve issues and promote automation in business processes.

● Promote data stewardship principles and educate users on data governance best practices.

● Prepare and present data governance reports and updates to senior leadership.

● Partner with subject matter experts to ensure compliance with Boston Scientific standards for data-related procedures and processes.

 

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in supply chain planning.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience with advanced planning systems (Kinaxis preferred).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience in data management, data quality, or related domains, with a solid understanding of data governance.
  • Experience working with data quality tools, databases, and associated technologies.
  • Familiarity with global data protection regulations such as GDPR.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage stakeholders across all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and process improvement.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, and culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives effectively.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
