About the role:
The Group Marketing Manager will advance direct to referrer marketing for the WATCHMAN franchise and influence the broader market development strategy for WATCHMAN. This person will be a visionary driving strategic integration across the WATCHMAN franchise to drive WATCHMAN acceptance and adoption with referring physician stakeholders.  The WATCHMAN Referrer Marketing Team represents a fast-growing, high priority brand within Boston Scientific.


We are looking for someone who has a track record of creating best-in-class marketing strategies and programs that drive therapy development and adoption for brands or technologies.  Success requires significant stakeholder collaboration across a cross-functional team, proven ability to translate insights into action, and the know-how to identify business accelerators and innovative strategies to overcome market challenges and drive the business.    


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leads direct to referrer strategy and capabilities driving clinical leadership, KOL and peer-to-peer thought leadership, planning, and executional excellence across the WATCHMAN franchise
  • In partnership with brand marketing communications, digital marketing & agencies, drives strategy and development of insight-driven marketing campaigns that change referrer mindset 
  • Fosters KPI-driven culture, utilizing performance data to inform progress and guide optimization
  • Builds integrated strategies with market development, sales organization, medical education/affairs, patient and implanter marketing teams ensuring strong alignment and effectiveness 
  • Partner with the WATCHMAN Therapy Awareness managers and sales organization to enhance the effectiveness of the Therapy Awareness sales organization
  • Establish strong relationships with other functions impacting franchise marketing activities (Clinical, Regulatory affairs, finance, , etc.)
  • Clearly presents concepts and rationale for strategic decisions and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, influencing peers and senior leadership
  • Remains current on WATCHMAN’s business, competitors, and customers; making proactive recommendations to improve competitive advantage
  • Fosters a high-performance team culture; identifies opportunities to actively coach and develop talent, strengthen team expertise, seeks to empower individuals
  • Acts as thought-leader change agent by sharing knowledge and best practices with other business units and franchises


What we're looking for: 

  • 7+ years of marketing experience in related businesses; medical technology, pharmaceutical, CPG or other consumer-centric industry (MBA preferred)
  • Ideal candidate is a master at building, leading and inspiring teams with a strong track-record of developing, executing, scaling, and consistently measuring innovative, results-focused campaigns
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence organizations; able to manage complexity of multiple projects, programs, and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationship
