About the role:
The HR Operations Project Manager (Professional Level III) is responsible for leading the development, prioritization, resourcing, and execution of global HR Operations projects. This role works closely with the Senior Project Manager, HR Operations, and reports to the Senior Director of the Global HR Project Management Office.
This position plays a key role in implementing HR portfolio programs and projects by applying project management best practices, while effectively leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders through influence. The Project Manager will proactively collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs), HR Operations, HRIT, business partners, and other stakeholder groups to align priorities and deliver initiatives that support both business and HR objectives.

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include:
Project & program management
- Lead all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure
- Develop and implement detailed project plans using tools such as Microsoft Project
- Estimate project effort and resource needs through standard techniques and stakeholder collaboration
- Assign tasks, track schedules, manage risks, and implement contingency plans as needed
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths
- Ensure project quality and compliance with established methodologies
- Prepare and deliver regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders
- Resolve project-related issues through cross-functional collaboration and appropriate escalation
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement
- Stay current with project management best practices through external engagement and professional development
People management
- Lead medium-sized, multi-site, cross-functional project teams
- Foster team engagement and ownership of project outcomes
- Provide feedback on team performance to functional managers and stakeholders
Communications & governance
- Serve as the primary communication link between project teams and steering committees
- Lead project and business review meetings, maintaining key documentation such as issue logs and project metrics
- Facilitate clear, timely communication to ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders
SuccessFactors data management
- Collaborate with the SuccessFactors and data teams to support HR operations and project needs
- Utilize the SuccessFactors governance board, reporting, and analytics to inform project decisions and resource planning
- Ensure data integrity and alignment with project and compliance requirements
- Partner with HRIT to integrate SuccessFactors data with other business systems
Qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years' experience managing projects, preferably in HR operations or cross-functional environments
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Timeline Pro
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Experience in regulated environments or manufacturing settings is a plus
Preferred qualifications:
- PMP or other project management certification
- Hands-on problem solver with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving alignment across diverse teams
- Collaborative and adaptable, with a focus on continuous improvement

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
