Overview

Boston Scientific is seeking a Manager to fill a visible and strategic leadership role within the IT Sell and Support organization.  This individual will focus on delivering exceptional IT capabilities to support the current on future needs of the Quality & Regulatory organization.  You will manage IT resources as well as manage important relationships with key Quality & Regulatory and external vendor partners.  This leader will be responsible for managing delivery and continuous development across multiple Product Teams supporting various Quality system processes including but not limited to CAPA Management, Document Management, UDI (Unique Device Identification) and Supplier Quality Management. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for staffing and developing Product Teams comprised of scrum masters, analysts, and engineers/developers. Devotes a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership and employee development responsibilities.
  • Develops and manages to budgets, schedules and performance standards, tracking accountability of team to objectives.
  • Ensures deliverables meet or exceed service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, performance and budget.
  • Works collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across multiple stakeholders, project priorities, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manages relationships with software vendors and influences their product roadmap.
  • Responsible for providing regular updates to IT and business executives regarding the strategic vision and execution status. 
  • Key contributor in the creation and execution of the strategic and tactical roadmaps focused on Quality system technology needs
  • Collaborate with functional teams establishing detail level objectives, goals, and priorities
  • Implement IT solutions to support functional initiatives or provide on-going systems support
  • Provide leadership and oversite for on-going and future changes to the existing applications and new technology investments
  • Work collaboratively with Quality, cross-functional and technical teams to influence and drive adoption of global standards
  • Advocate and promote simplification driving down support costs
  • Identifies innovative uses of Information Technology to provide a competitive advantage
  • Responsible for Security, Privacy, and overall IT compliance of technology solutions
  • Works under minimal supervision. Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions
  • Provides direction, advice, and guidance to others
  • Drive IT Transformation within Quality System Portfolio focusing on value added delivery
  • Deliver necessary changes to key technologies in support of migration to S4/HANA

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT and partnering with Business Stakeholders
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with IT Partners, Stakeholders and Vendors
  • 2+ years of experience managing people and IT projects
  • Demonstrated experience in IT contract management  (MSA’s, Software / Subscription Agreements, Professional Services)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver IT solutions in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated strong financial acumen and experience managing program financials, operational budgets, vendor relationships, contracts and negotiations
  • Exhibited ability to communicate effectively up and down the organization
  • Strong project management background with experience leading large-scale initiatives
  • Understanding & experience with software development process (agile & waterfall)
  • Familiarity with Product Teams
  • Ability to produce high quality results under tight time constraints
  • Ability to work on a team in person and in a collaborative virtual setting; self-motivated, self-directed, adaptable
