About the role:
As the IT Manager, SAP S/4HANA Logistics & EWM Deployment within Boston Scientific’s Magellan Program, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the successful implementation of S4 HANA for our Logistics IT function. This includes both driving future deployments and leading the Enterprise Competency Center that supports the current S4 Logistics landscape.
We are undergoing a multi-phase transition from SAP ECC to SAP S4/HANA via a Greenfield implementation. With our initial pilot successfully deployed in Q3 2022 and our largest Distribution Center scheduled for go-live in Q3 2025, your leadership will be essential to ensure seamless delivery and integration across global operations.
In this role, you will lead a team of IT professionals, provide mentorship, and collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to define roadmaps, set priorities, and deliver impactful outcomes. Work model, sponsorship, relocation:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leads and develops a team through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
- Provides strategic direction and accountability for Agile Product Teams supporting SAP Logistics within the Magellan Program
- Collaborates with the PMO and overall IT Logistics leadership to align priorities, timelines, and outcomes
- Drives end-to-end supply chain planning, with a strong focus on SAP EWM, including Delivery Management and Inbound/Outbound processes
- Supports master data integration and transformation activities across ECC and S4/HANA
- Builds and sustains Agile teams to support critical business transformation initiatives
- Manages program deliverables, schedules, risk tracking, and governance documentation
- Leads communication and alignment efforts across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
- Drives Steering Committee meeting preparation, including agenda and material development
- Manages issue resolution, risk mitigation, and action item follow-up to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Engages in vendor and stakeholder management, including RFP/SOW process management in collaboration with Global Sourcing
- Ensures continuous improvement and predictable disruption planning to minimize business impact
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and mentoring global, cross-functional teams
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in IT project delivery, including SAP ERP Central Component (Warehouse Management) and SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management
- Ability to travel up to 10% for business purposes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the medical device or other regulated industry
- Experience using Agile management tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps)
- Strategic thinker with a global perspective on systems and process sustainability
- Strong commitment to execution and results with a focus on timely delivery
- Demonstrated accountability and commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
