About  the role:

Key leadership role responsible for delivery of a PLM IT product team, supporting a global Boston Scientific user base. Responsible for defining the scope of work and roadmap for the PLM (Windchill & PLCMS) product teams, establishing and cultivating relationships with business stakeholders across the globe to drive value to Boston Scientific and partnering with IT product team members to ensure successful delivery of product scope.  This role will report to the R&D IT Senior Manager. 

 

Your Responsibilities:
  • Work in dedicated, co-located product teams, consisting of scrum masters, developers, analysts and testers.
  • Implement a global Product Ownership model with regions, divisions and other stakeholder groups
  • Cultivate relationships with product owners to build relationships that drive value to the product and BSC.
  • Collaborate with divisional stakeholders on strategy, optimal product definition and the Agile, Lean, DevOps process and culture.
  • Build trust with stakeholders, working through difficult transitions to agile best practices.
  • Establish Product Roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners.
  • Serve as the interface between the team and the division. Represent the Product Owner, Stakeholders and functions in all team discussions.
  • Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, business model, MVP.
  • Articulate Product Vision and Strategy to the team, to stakeholders, and to external parties.
  • Responsible to release new product as often as is appropriate and making that determination.
  • Responsible for product development prioritization and decisions on releases, as a result of a close partnership with end users and the business.
  • Drive continuous improvement to system performance and usability. 
  • Write user stories, maintain backlog, and coordinate validation of product features and design with business stakeholders.
  • Manage the backlog and continually de-risk the product direction.
  • Inform product decisions by collecting and prioritizing IT and business stakeholder input.
  • Adjust product direction based on data, customer feedback, and business stakeholder feedback.
  • Participate in team events / meetings (sprint daily standup, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives) and facilitate stakeholder and end-user meetings/interviews (sprint reviews)
  • Communicate product updates back to business stakeholders through frequent communications such as weekly demo.
  • Help maintain a sustainable pace for the team.
  • Help maintain team culture and communication.
  • Directly collaborate with team members to resolve issues and drive agile and lean best practices.
  • Work with colleagues to deliver compliant software in an agile manner.
  • Manage a portfolio of ncep and capa to ensure product remains compliant and remediates compliance issues.
  • Represent the product team in internal and external facing audits.
  • Manage and report on the value improvement and value enablement delivered by the product team
  • Maintain and continuously upgrade her/his knowledge of PLM technology
  • Manage and communicate project status to the rest of BSC IT & BSC R&D and BSC Executive Sponsors.

 

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, business, or related and 7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of work and education.
  • Experience working within part of the product lifecycle development process
  • Experience developing and managing customer relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand new fields, and to communicate effectively with SMEs across different subject areas and functions.
  • Experience mentoring others
  • Experience working in an agile team.
  • Experience working in a balanced, collocated team
  • Experience delivering large, complex programs
  • Vendor management experience
  • Ability to deliver and receive feedback in a positive, constructive, and kind manner.
  • Must be willing to relocate and work out of the Arden Hills, MN Campus
  • Ability to travel 10 % of time as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading and delivering Product Lifecycle Management capabilities for Med Device manufacturer / related industry
  • Experience leading IT Transformation, including Product Teams, Lean, Agile, and Dev Ops
  • Working knowledge of PTC Windchill and other complimentary PLM applications
