About This Role:

This Lab Technician II role offers an employee the opportunity to be part of the Complaint Investigation Site within the Post Market Quality Assurance team at Boston Scientific. The primary activity for this role is to complete returned product analysis to address field complaint allegations against Boston Scientific products. This position is a vital part of improving patient care by ensuring Boston Scientific device allegations are investigated efficiently and effectively.   

 

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas
  • Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains and/or tests equipment, systems or products
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Performs tests, analyzes data and writes reports
  • Reviews and/or develops processing instructions
  • Maintains detailed documentation through all phases of testing and/or analysis
  • May assist in the transfer of technology and/or contribute in cross-functional discussions regarding device performance allegations.
  • Monitor externally manufactured product returns & route to vendors for analysis in a timely manner
  • May assist in the calibration & maintenance of equipment in the Returns, Device and Analysis department
  • Respond to internal and external customer queries concerning product location or credit
  • Actively interface with other Boston Scientific departments to corroborate special needs or procedure changes for product processing
  • Serve as a support role for other positions in the Returns, Device and Analysis department as needed

 

 

What We’re Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA Degree or 1 year of equivalent work experience in related discipline
  • Experience working in Laboratory setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft desktop environment: Windows, Word and Outlook
  • Experience working with SAP software
  • Previous experience working with medical products in a regulated environment
