About the role: 
Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Technical Lead with full stack development experience to design & implement software solutions as part of the device tracking team supporting the Post Market Quality environment. The Tech Lead will partner with product management to identify business pain points, design and build solutions, estimate effort on prioritized requirements, identify and share recommended solution approach and coordinates execution within the team using agile development methods. For established solutions the Tech Lead ensures continued product buildout as well as ensures timely resolution of bugs and issues elevated by the business operations teams.
This individual will be part of the Global Information Technology department working with our internal IT partners, technical architects, platform teams and external Boston Scientific business partners to optimize the management, architecture & performance of our applications.

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Provides feasibility analysis of solutions
  • Helps with solution design of business requirements and works with software engineers and architects to prioritize business requirements
  • Drives effort estimation or story pointing of business requirements
  • Supports formal validation with scrum-team and business testers
  • Provides support on issues during Sprint and validation cycles
  • Committed to delivering high quality, high value, maintainable software in the hands of users quickly by working side-by-side with product managers, designers, and other engineers
  • Helps in backlog grooming sessions along with Product Owner
  • Provides support to scrum-master on Sprint Planning
  • Provides support to development team and testers on technical solutions
  • Works with external groups including integration and deployment teams on technical issues; data mapping and solution delivery
  • Attends all scrum events as required or needed

 

What we're looking for: 
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field,
  • 4+ years of experience in large scale software development projects
  • 6+ years of Software Development experience in a variety of programming languages
  • 6+ years’ experience being part of an agile software development team  
  • Experience with a CI/CD pipeline Concourse, GIT, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience in building web UI using UI frameworks such as React, Angular 
  • Experience building containerized applications on the AWS EKS platform, with demonstrated understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Kubernetes based CD patterns & container platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing software within an FDA regulated industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of FDA guidelines and regulations
  • Experience with security tools and products
