About the role:
Magellan is a global business transformation program accompanying a move of our ERP system from SAP ECC to S4 HANA. Magellan’s goal is to simplify, standardize and modernize our core business processes, enabling BSC to better leverage the power of data and to position our business for profitable and sustainable growth.

We are looking for a strong principal or manager level talent to join the Magellan team. Level is flexible based on candidate qualifications. Seeking a change leader with extended supply chain experience who is motivated to continuously optimize our inbound business processes.  

As a member of the Magellan team, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful Business Transformation across the inbound function (Procure to Pay and GSC Planning) spanning manufacturing sites, distribution sites, divisions and regions. This is a critical role, reporting to the Inbound Business Transformation Leader – Magellan and will operate in a Scaled Agile Framework. Collaborating with the Magellan Workstreams, Strategic Integration Vendors, Process Owners, Community of Practices, application teams and Stakeholders across the network is a critical success factor for this position.  The Program will last for approximately 4 years and the role will be the primary liaison for many of the enabling Magellan teams (cross functional teams supporting analytics, data migration, change enablement, procedures, etc) Pre Project and Deployment readiness activity coordination for inbound, responsible for coordinating and managing procedure and process mapping updates, and supporting supplier onboarding efforts

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Take full responsibility and accountability for the successful planning, tracking and execution of deployment readiness activities for the inbound stakeholder community in collaboration with the program PMO team and other deployment leads (leveraging common tools, processes, and templates)
  • Manage the inbound specific solution integrator RFP’s, contracts, POs (Iterations, drafts, coordination) 
  • Coordinate procedure and E2E Process flow updates, draft and manage new global procedures as needed
  • Actively represent the inbound team and respective business users/stakeholders in activities required to execute the enabling team refinement, execution of work, coordination, and communication between enabling and inbound teams. (Master data, Material Master Team, Reporting and Analytics, interim state processes-TWP, organizational change enablement-OCE, Segmentation and capital equipment)
  • Collaborate with the extended stakeholder teams and inbound product teams to ensure enabling efforts and solutions are refined and aligned with future state processes and solutions.
  • Act as a liaison and support for the E2E MFG and SC Visibility data and analytics efforts
  • Support inbound product teams in aligning Requirements, monitoring project plans, communicating with Stakeholders, coordinating the Requirements, Design, Build and Testing Phase and supporting the network-wide Deployment.  
  • Support inbound product teams in Proactively influencing global manufacturing sites, distribution network and divisional leaders in areas of new concepts, adoption of Best Practice and working to ensure understanding and translation of strategies, goals and the full scope of a Business Transformation initiative and simplify and standardise to best practice across Inbound (Planning) Business processes and Applications. 
  • Collaborate with the enabling teams to ensure we understand expectations and can track our progress 
  • Actively engage in the Inbound teams’ ceremonies (meetings) as needed to ensure effective integration and coverage of enabling teamwork. 
  • Conduct impact assessment for change enablement and interim state processes through refinement efforts. Coordinate and execute action plans to support deployment readiness (i.e. communications, trainings)
  • Support the supplier enablement onboarding activities (i.e. draft communications, lead/support training sessions, coordinate with Global Business Services and Indirect Procurement) to flex that team during times of high change effort.
  • Lead and support inbound team resource modeling and scheduling as needed.
  • Risk Management - in coordination w/PMO, Change Management and BTL team
    • Collision Point Mapping and Mitigation
    • Predictable Disruption – ensuring that the program forecasts and minimizes any disruption
    • Scaled Agile for ERP execution - in coordination with Program Leadership Team ensure that the principles of agile, design thinking, and lean start-up are central to their program leadership methodology
  • Creating an environment that encourages: constructive feedback and coaching and proactive developmental support for all employees

What we’re looking for in you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or applicable field required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years technical professional or operational experience in medical device field required. 
  • 5+ years of functional and process experience in supply chain procurement or planning 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Procurement, demand planning and supply planning processes and respective supporting technology and tools.
  • Previous leadership experience across the network or the Management of large change programs, ideally within an IT or systems environment would be advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of Rapid Response, working knowledge of SAP and the broader Application Ecosystem, combined with knowledge of key business processes leveraging these technologies.
  • Ability to shape, establish, communicate and engage teams in the vision & strategy of the Magellan Program and how that relates to the planning strategy.
  • Experience of managing complex matrixed organizational structures and demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across such an organization with strong emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
  • Previous experience of Agile or Scaled Agile methodology, design thinking, and lean rituals will be an advantage but not essential
  • Proven adaptability, comfortable with change and with a demonstrated ability to react and response to a fast-changing environment.
