About the role: 

  • The Program Manager is a general manager of a cross-functional team tasked with delivering a new product, tehncology, or therapy to market.
  • Specifically, this role will be responsible for overseeing software development, global expansion, and vendor management initiatives associated with the TheraSphere product platform within the Interventional Oncology Franchise. 
  • Responsibilities generally include development and execution of a program plan to deliver the defined solution business case, identification and resolution of staffing and resource requirements and issues, developing and leading the execution of all project deliverables, and providing ongoing communication with the business unit regarding project performance.
  • These responsibilities span from program initiation through commercialization.

 

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Developing, executing and leading of project/program teams to successfully deliver the defined products/solutions to business unit management (initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes)
  • Identifying resources required for assigned project activities and forming teams to complete the activities
  • Building team ownership and commitment to project plans
  • Developing and monitoring project budgets through regular analysis of cost and spending
  • Timely communication of priorities and status with management, regional, and functional leads including regular presentations to senior leadership 
  • Managing challenges of new product development program execution including identification, communication and escalation of technical and business risks
  • Leading the team through appropriate decision making using strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications
  • Resolving conflicts with team members and provides input to functional managers on team and team member performance
  • Mentoring and/or coaching project core team members
  • Fosters and develops a culture of collaboration, commitment and high performance within the project team(s) 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Business related discipline and 5+ years of work experience in product development, or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Business related discipline and 3+ years of work experience in product development
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading cross functional teams with responsibility for managing project scope, schedule, budget and performance

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering background
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in medical device new product development
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading a cross-functional, multi-site, product development project in the medical device industry
  • Strong organization, communication and influencing skills, as well as demonstrated ability to confidently handle full responsibility for project execution and delivery
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with confidence to present across all levels of the organization
  • Results-oriented focused on delivering timely, accurate and best in class execution
