About the Role
Responsibilities that include data analysis and identification of process improvement. The role will span all operations on site and will give the successful candidate a very good understanding of all aspects of the operation Projects will incorporate lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, Just-Do-It's, quick response manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Methods-Time Measurement, or a variety of other systems improvement and variation reduction philosophies.

 

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Assisting in the analyzing, designing, and implementation of manufacturing and business process improvement, resulting in increased capacity, reduce lead-time, reduction in the work-in-process, improve fill-rates, and improve process flow and efficiency.
  • Assisting in the design, implementation and maintenance of effective metrics with internal customers or suppliers to ensure unbridled supply is achieved.
  • Participates in multiple facets groups across the organization including manufacturing, design, supplier development, and documentation.
  • Create strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure project success.
  • Makes recommendations to core teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products.
  • Able to complete change requests of BOMs, Routers and understanding of validated state.
  • Must comply with all regulatory requirements and ISO 14001:2004 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.

 

What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications:

  • 1 Year of experience with Associates Degree, or equivalent combination of education/work experience. 
  • Read and write English in order to complete paperwork and understand written procedures, specifications, GMP’s and quality requirements.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions when performing a variety of measurements and assembly operations.
  • Work to continuously improve product quality and process flow.
  • Must be adaptable to changing procedures; ability to learn new procedures due to changing products and technology. May be asked to cross train on a variety of department operations.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated product building and process knowledge.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to maintain lean systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule regularly to support all shifts (first, second, third, weekend days, weekend nights) within each month.  
  • Experience with Lithium strongly preferred.  This position is heavily focused on workplace safety that includes but not limited to developing and documenting plans for execution on proper techniques, methods, and practices for Lithium handling.  A subject matter expert and champion for the site. 
  • Strong ability to communicate and work cross-functionally to gain buy-in to drive execution and results.  May be required to perform demonstrations and deliver presentations to several levels of the organization.
  • Proven background showcasing a quick learning and change management techniques.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Strong organization skills, tracking safety needs, and be process improvement oriented.
