About the role:
The Security Specialist II, under the supervision of the Global Security Manager, Due Diligence and Investigations, will be responsible for supporting the MN-based Regional Security Managers with all aspects of security for the organization's regional businesses, with particular focus on internal investigations and due diligence. The role may also support administrative security, physical security, personnel security, security education and training, contingency planning, crisis management and emergency preparedness as needed. 

 

Your job responsibilities include:

  • Investigate internal matters for Global Security globally. Investigations include interviews, documentation, recommendations, cross-functional team dialogue, and possible law enforcement coordination. 
  • Direct support to MN-based Regional Security Managers, HR and Employee Resource Teams with work-place investigations to include leading interviews and providing remediation recommendations.
  • Support the global Third Party-related due diligence process, to include reviewing due diligence requests made by the respective business leads, liaising with the business leads to obtain additional information where necessary, initiating due diligence reviews to be conducted by the approved BSC vendors, monitoring progress to ensure due diligence requests are completed in a timely fashion, reviewing due diligence reports for potential risks or issues, and reviewing on-going low level due diligence screenings.
  • Support the global supplier due diligence program in tandem with the Business Continuity function using vendors, products, and processes from our current Third Party due diligence process.  
  • Assist with the development and execution of the regional and facility security plans that assess current threats and vulnerabilities, identifies protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives, and details the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources.
  • Assist in project management of physical security installation projects 
  • Participate in the development of new facilities and facility renovations from a security standpoint.
  • Assist in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and be knowledgeable of current trends in the security industry.

 

What we're looking for in you:

  • Applicants are required to have a BA or BS degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a corporate security environment and the security industry
  • 3 years of experience supporting or leading investigations and conducting interviews 
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of best-in class security processes and practices.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including consulting, team building and collaboration.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintains a strong sense of urgency.

  • Willingness to work after hours in emergency situations.

  • Able to work effectively and independently. Self-motivated yet understands the importance of collaboration and strong relationships across multiple business functions

  • 1-5% travel required for company meetings and conferences. Travel between local facilities expected (Maple Grove, Arden Hills & Minnetonka).
