About the role:
As the Senior Manager of Program Management – Magellan, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful Business Transformation across all functions, divisions and regions of the Company. This is a critical and strategic role, reporting to the Director of Program Mgmt. - Magellan. Collaborating with the Magellan Workstreams, Strategic Integration Vendors, Process Owners, Community of Practices and Stakeholders across the network is a critical success factor for this position.  The Program will last for approximately 4 years across and the role will oversee: Project Scope, Pre Project-Portfolio Surge activity, Requirements, Design, Build and Testing, Deployment to post Go Live sustaining.

This role will be key to delivering Release 1 across those regions and ensuring the global functions that need to be involved in this and future releases are proactively informed and involved.

The Magellan program will be led by BSC and leveraging a mix of consulting and third-party experts to deliver on this critical business transformation and core ERP technology advancement.  

Seeking a change leader who is motivated to continuously optimize our delivery methodology leveraging agile and lean design thinking practices. Magellan is establishing a BSC scaled agile for ERP methodology and previous experience of the scaled agile methodology, design thinking, and lean start-up principles will be a distinct advantage.
Your responsibilities include: 

  • Take full responsibility and accountability for the successful planning and execution of the global program – partnering with the Director of Program Mgmt. and the entire transformation leadership team
  • Managing the scope, budget, timeline and deliverables for the program
  • Managing multiple vendors and complexity across the program in the areas of technology and business transformation
  • Managing the RFP/SOW process working closely with global sourcing and other internal stakeholders utilizing a ‘best-athlete approach’ where practicable
  • For each vendor engaged, hold them establish accountability and track execution per the defined:
    • Roles/responsibilities definition
    • Tracking/communication/alignment
    • Deliverable Tracking
    • Metrics/scorecards
  • Program Governance
    • Steering Committee agenda and material preparation
    • Decision and action item tracking
    • Ensure all actions, items agreed are closed on time, in full and on budget
  • Schedule Creation and Management
  • Risk Management - in coordination w/Change Management and BTL team
    •  Collision Point Mapping and Mitigation
    •  Predictable Disruption – ensuring that the program forecasts and minimizes any disruption
  • Communications – working closely with the Organization Change Management Team 
  • Program Metrics - in coordination w/SI's and BSC finance
  • Program Budget – Managing a multi-vendor, large scale, global program budget
  • Scaled Agile for ERP execution - in coordination with Program Leadership Team ensure that the principles of agile, design thinking, and lean start-up are central to their program leadership methodology

What we’re looking for: 
Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Science or applicable field required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years technical professional or operational experience in medical device field required.
  • 5+ years of PMO experience.
  • Previous leadership experience across the network or the Management of large change programs, ideally technology or systems environment.
  • Working knowledge global processes and systems.
  • Experience of managing complex, cross-functional programs and demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across such a program
  • Previous experience of Agile or Scaled Agile methodology, design thinking, and lean rituals will be an advantage but not essential

  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution.
  • Creates clear and consistent business outcomes and embeds them throughout the team environment
