Sr. Data Scientist

About the Role:


The Senior Data Scientist will be part of the new Global Supply Chain Analytics group and will be responsible for identifying, developing, and operationalizing machine learning algorithms to solve supply chain challenges like improving forecast accuracy & inventory levels, predict supply chain risks, optimize resource allocations, and minimize costs across the end-to-end supply chain. Your Responsibilities Include:

•    Interacting with the supply chain functions to understand the business challenges, selecting appropriate analytic approaches, identifying appropriate data and algorithms to solve the problem.
•    Identifying data requirements and translating them into data structures and data model requirements.
•    Applying strong expertise in machine-learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build the next-generation analytics.
•    Develop best practices for analytics (models, standards, tools) and deployment to production environments.
•    Drive data modelling and testing during projects.
•    Carry out quality assurance of analytics tools & methods used in projects.
•    Track impact of analytics on business.
•    Help set HR standards for Data Scientists (recruiting, training, career management).
•    Work with senior leaders and business leaders providing technical guidance related to data architecture, data models and meta data management.

What We’re Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

•    Master’s Degree in a highly quantitative field (Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, Operations Research, etc) or equivalent experience
•    Experience in using Python for developing machine learning models a must
•    Experience utilizing Cloud AI/ML/MLOps tools, preferably AWS and Sagemaker
•    Experience in leveraging data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
•    Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization.
•    Strong project management skills.
•    Self-motivated independent worker.
•    Detail oriented, organized and perform to a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
•    Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures
