About the role:

As a communications team, we strive to ensure that our communications are human-centric and focused on the value we provide to our users and Boston Scientific. You will join the Office of the Chief Information and Digital Officer (Office of CIDO), within the Belonging, Interactions, & Growth (BIG) team. We’re focused on culture, communications and learning across Global IT. As Communications Specialist for Global IT at Boston Scientific, you will use various communication vehicles to address employee change fatigue; audience information overload, consistent employee experience, adapting to remote/ hybrid workforce; and variable manager communications skills. 


Your responsibilities include:  

  • Own the operational aspects of internal communications – Monthly Org Announcements, SharePoint and Team posts, Town Hall coordination, Quarterly Digests, Org-wide email communications, IT Global Calendar, Learning Forums 
  • Drive optimization of use of MS365 collaboration tools for social media and automation 
  • Create on-brand messaging that is compelling and visually appealing and drives to the intended outcome 
  • Collaborate with communications representatives across the IT organization to gather relevant content to share 
  • Be an active member of Communications Community of Practice to drive best and emerging practices, share and re-use content where applicable 
  • Help individual teams and programs with Communications and Change Plans that are compelling, timely, and impactful 
  • Lead efforts to standardize templates and processes where applicable and share with other communications and change representatives 
  • Evolve communications to be more globally inclusive 
  • Evolve communications to use new formats 
  • Expand and standardize the use of social media to promote job opportunities in IT 
  • Create communications and content to enhance the onboarding experience 
  • Provide useful, relevant, timely feedback on others’ communications to help develop their communication skills 
  • Teach others about communication frameworks and good practices 
  • Coach others on agile principles and human-centric communications 
  • Introduce new, innovative solutions to the organization to improve communication across the organization, between and within IT teams  


Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3+ years’ experience with internal corporate communications 
  • Experience with human-centric storytelling 
  • Experience with MS365 collaboration tools 
  • Graphic design experience 
  • Video design experience 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Interest in using agile practices and principles 
  • Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci) or interest in earning certification 
  • In tune with up-and-coming relevant technologies
