About the role: 

The Manager will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Contract and Budget Specialists within the Global Clinical Contract Operations department, driving strategic initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and achieving organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The manager will be ensuring the support to divisional clinical teams for the creation, negotiation, and finalization of site agreements and budgets for medical device clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas. Collaboration with internal stakeholders will be at the heart of the role, ensuring seamless execution and fostering impactful partnerships.

 

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilites will include:

  • Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals.  
  • Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports.
  • Provides formal day-to-day supervision and support team including setting performance and productivity expectations, coaching on performance and development, coordinating activities, checking on quality and work progress 
  • Participate on the process of employee and contractor selection, which includes liaise with talent acquisition and related HR partners, conduction of interview and active participation on decisional brainstorm for the selection of the most appropriate candidates.  
  • To select contractors, work with procurement or directly with agencies.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to establish contracts and follow up to create the Purchase Order.
  • Ensure contractor contracts are renewed on time and update SuccessFactor to keep their network and email accounts active.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
  • Participation on the resource forecast, seek for an appropriate level of information from divisional partners to facilitate the accuracy of the forecast model.
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Close collaborating with the legal team management to ease cross-team interactions
  • Close collaboration with Trial Operations Managers (Global) to establish alignment on timelines and site authorization priorities
  • Act as reference manager for assigned studies which include participating on the study kickoff meeting, collaboriating with Divisional partners, Trial Managers, and Managers to ensure strategy alignment, ensure other C&B/FMV managers are inform to any relevant study information, participation on Study core team call to support the Lead C&B, and be the Point of contact as first level on the contract and budget escalation process. 

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years Industry experience managing clinical operation team
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience is managing Contract & Budget Specialis

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
