About the role:

The Manager of Digital Health Services will lead a team dedicated to envisioning, developing and driving adoption of enterprise-wide Digital Health Services to enable Digital Health Development teams.  You will be responsible for building new Digital Health Services capabilities and devising a Services prioritization and development strategy to support application development teams, stakeholders, and the privacy and security needs of the company. You will be responsible for establishing and realizing the value of our Services for the organization, driving adoption of the services your team develops and establishing the best pathway for application team integration with the services, and expanding the Digital Health Services capabilities Globally.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for creating services that enable Digital Health applications for and drive adoption of our enterprise Digital Health services.
  • Partner with multiple divisions and functions to find the most valuable and most strategic, enabling and common Digital Health service needs that should be addressed. As a result, develop internal customer, patient, physician and health system facing solutions that enable improved patient outcomes, reduce health system costs, drive incremental BSC growth.
  • Engage with leadership and stakeholders to set and then execute our enterprise Digital Health strategy.
  • Incorporate Agile, Lean Startup, and User Centered Design methodologies to establish world class services that enhance our internal DH development, operations and external connectivity capabilities
  • Leverage ongoing efforts, existing teams and existing infrastructure across the enterprise to drive toward commonality and scale.
  • Build internal service DevOps teams and partner with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with your team, colleagues in IT and R&D, and partners in  Quality, Regulatory, HR, Legal, and Finance to establish optimal service product development teams that enable differentiated capabilities for Boston Scientific.  
  • Build trust with stakeholders by ensuring openness and reliable delivery on commitments across your organization, often guiding divisions through the difficult transitions to Agile & Lean Startup best practices
  • Guide and lead services teams to comply with regulations, compliance and best practices; ensuring incorporation of product security, data privacy, quality, UX/UI/Ethnography principles, methodologies and enabling technologies
  • Service capabilities could span the full breadth of cloud capabilities, Health IT, EMR connectivity, Advanced Analytics (AI), aspects of IoT, etc., depending on the needs of the growing needs of the organization.

 

What we're looking for:

  • Master of Science or Business
  • 4+ years’ regulated industry experience
  • 4+ years demonstrated experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies 
  • 4+ years’ experience being part of an agile software development team  
  • 3 + years’ experience to modern software development product management practices and agile methodologies, specifically the extreme programming (XP) principles of paired programming, test driven development, and continuous improvement/continuous deployment 
  • Demonstrated cloud-native (Full-Stack) development leadership capability
  • Demonstrated experience with employee management and coaching
  • Demonstrated experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends; excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills 
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with and success influencing functional and technical team members at all levels in the organization 
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team  
  • Experience collaborating with leadership teams, including R&D, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Sales and IT to implement technology platforms, develop products and establish services that efficiently deliver business and customer value
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to condense data to synthesize crisp and easily understandable deliverables
  • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining highly collaborative, flexible, and productive cross-organization teams
  • The ideal candidate would further have:
    • Demonstrated Life Sciences industrial experience, with exposure to regulatory submissions.  Demonstrated understanding of FDA guidelines and regulations including 21st Century Cures Act, and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and experience having launched regulated Digital Health products   
    • Experience driving organizational evolution in product and offering development
    • Experience working in a Global Organization supporting diverse businesses and geographies 
  • Experience with technology, digital solutions, information systems, financials and establishing efficient business processes
