About This Role:

This role provides manufacturing engineering support in Urology and Pelvic health new product development. This role will be responsible for developing and validating processes including identification of key process inputs, characterization of process outputs, inspection methods, drafting and training production personnel for work instructions, and providing production line setup and day to day engineering support to the new product production line. This role works in tandem with Process Development, Quality, Production and Research and Development organizations throughout the new product development and may assume manufacturing engineering support of the production line following commercialization.



Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Works within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Monitors performance of equipment, machines and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields or product quality issues. 
  • Interfaces with Process Development, Quality, Production and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.
  • Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles through a wide range of complex problems which require innovative approaches.
  • Cultivates internal and external network of resources to complete tasks.  Serves as a resource in the selection, orientation, and training of new engineers in the area. Will lead project teams, determining goals and objectives for the projects. Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
  • Successfully completes complex engineering work and contributes to new product development teams and product support, typically including the following activities: process and test method validation, technology development, Six Sigma, process study, process improvements, and report preparation.
  • Establishes processes based on new product specifications.
  • Evaluates process and design alternatives based on “design for manufacturability” principles.
  • Selects process improvement techniques to solve complex problems and make sound equipment and process recommendations.
  • Coordinates, manages, and documents project goals and progress and recommends appropriate revisions.



What We’re Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of related engineering experience including support of manufacturing.
  • Experience completing process validation and verification (PV&V) activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with new product development including process validation of a new product.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional peers in both process improvement and design for manufacturability of new products and technologies.
  • Demonstrated project management ability to lead technical problem solving as well as continuous improvement projects.
  • Previous Medical Device industry or other highly regulated device manufacturing experience preferred
