Monday to Friday from 6AM - 2PM

 

About the role: 

Assist the supervisor to achieve the daily production schedules and quality goals.  Provide guidance and be a source of information for operators and support groups in the area.  Coordinates the documentation, training and provides inputs for performance appraisal and assists in the employee selection process.

 

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

About the role:

The purpose of the Manufacturing technician is to assemble, maintain, evaluate, and validate the quality and functionality of products and tooling used by the Capital Equipment Technical Services Team. This role will support both manufacturing operations on the production floor and interface with Field Service and Capital Equipment Technical Services on products that need maintenance and calibration.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following technical documentation, test procedures, specifications, and/or written and verbal instructions to perform service activities.
  • Inspecting, analyzing, evaluating, and troubleshooting products and tools using testing equipment and tools.
  • Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations for repair.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged mechanical and/or electrical components on tools or products.
  • Performing routine maintenance on tools or products.
  • Assessing product/tools functionality and preparing reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed.
  • Maintaining records in the approved tracking management tool through technical understanding, utilization of documentation and problem-solving practices.
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Competent in electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
  • Understands how assigned duties integrate with others in the team.
  • Completes tasks under minimal supervision; focuses on developing own skills.
  • Uses defined procedures to perform routine tasks and solves straightforward problems; has limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impacts accuracy of own work; duties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detail.
  • Exchanges basic information requiring little to no explanation or interpretation, primarily within immediate work team.
  • Identify deficiencies or non-conformances that impact schedule and escalate as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the medical device industry
  • Ability to use various measurement devices including, but not limited to Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscope, Function generators and Hi-Pot testers.
  • Ability to read and understand Schematics, use Testing equipment and basic work instructions to test and validate product and tooling.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
